Praise God! We thank the Lord for carrying us into the month of May. I am excited to see what is in store, for truly the harvest is ripe. We are the laborers the Lord wants to equip to see souls saved in such a time as this. Are you ready? Let us stay anchored in the Word, pray without ceasing, and maintain our INTEGRITY. May every day of this month be full of joy, peace, and love in Jesus’ name!

A Sign on the Journey

A few days ago, I was driving through a familiar area when the Holy Spirit caught my eye with a street sign: “Love Rd.” As I continued toward my destination, I heard the Spirit whisper: “Maintain your integrity! Don’t you know you are a child of God?”

Initially, I didn't fully grasp why the Lord said this, but as I meditated, He brought me to the story of Job. Job was described as a man of "complete integrity." By definition, integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that you refuse to change. For us as kingdom citizens, maintaining integrity can only be achieved by living a life completely sold out to Jesus.

The Trial of the Heart

Job was a righteous, God-fearing man who faced the unthinkable. He lost his children, his property, and his physical health. Even his wife suggested he forsake God, and his friends accused him of hidden sin. Yet, despite being afflicted, the Bible records that "in all this, Job did not sin by blaming God" (Job 1:22).

As humans, we have no inherent power to overcome sin without God. Our nature is flawed; John 2:24-25 tells us that Jesus knew exactly what was in each person’s heart. He knows our tendency to fail. However, Proverbs 24:16 offers us hope: “For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again.” In this fallen world, the difference between the righteous and the unrighteous isn't that one never falls—it’s how they respond when they do.

Integrity Over Intellect

There are many brilliant, successful people who boast of their achievements. Job was one of them—the "millionaire" of his time. But Job knew that his wealth was secondary to his integrity. He refused to let his circumstances change who he was in Christ.

We can easily lose our way among the riches and cares of this world. What truly matters is standing firm in our faith and obeying the Word. Your story may not have started with the righteousness of Job, but God desires that your ending be that of a man or woman of complete integrity.

The Intersection of Love and Integrity

Remember that street sign: Love Rd. When Jesus was asked which commandment was the greatest, He replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart... and love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39).

Love is the secret ingredient of integrity. When we are "intoxicated" with the love of God, we gain the strength to ride out afflictions. It was Job’s deep, soul-level love for God that allowed him to endure. Like the Apostle Paul, we must learn the secret of being content in every situation—whether we have plenty or nothing—knowing we can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:11-13).

The Reward of the Faithful

At the end of Job’s story, after he prayed for the very friends who had criticized him, the Lord restored his fortunes—giving him twice as much as he had before (Job 42:10). His integrity was proven through his love and his willingness to forgive.

My prayer is that as we seek to maintain our integrity, our response to life’s trials will be pleasing to the Lord. Let us stay on "Love Road," standing on the truth and refusing to sell it.
