WHO WE ARE
In the year 2020, the Covid Pandemic caused fear to invade the entire world. As believers in Christ, the Bible declares, that we live in this world but we are not of this world. Jesus Christ died and rose again on the 3rd day. He has given us power to do all things in His name. To stand in the liberty in which we are set free to live in His joy, peace, and love. The Bible states that His perfect love cast out all Fear. How do we cast out fear? We cast out fear by studying the Word of God to be humble, to pray, to seek, and to repent are the key components that God wants us to adhere to.
As we dive into the Word of God, He wants us to step out of the shallow waters into the deep to experience His overwhelming presence. Psalm 34:8, David declares, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him”. David a man after Gods own heart had experienced His loving presence which was more than this world could offer. We to can encounter what David experienced, once we step out into the deep.
JD&L Mission is founded from a place of moving by the presence of God. It is a mission to tell the world to taste and see that the Lord is truly good. This heartfelt mission is to feed the hungry, save the lost and to tell of the Good News of the Gospel. It doesn’t end there; it commissions us to make disciples for Christ. The Bible states in Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”.
Our goal is to strive to be led by the Holy Spirit and our steps be ordered by the Lord as we preach the Gospel globally.

COLETTE ATKINSON
Colette Atkinson, born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York is the founder of the JD&L Mission International Corp which is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. It provides hope for the lost, homeless, and those that are hungry. Colette comes from Jamaican descent and is proud of her roots and culture. It was a privilege from a child to travel yearly to Jamaica with her sister and mother to know her culture and family. Her mother, Jennifer Atkinson also known as "Moy" was a member of the Rotary Club which provided services to others in need within the community and internationally. In addition, she took pride in cooking for her family, friends, and coworkers. The passion she had was passed down to her children to serve others. She learned to appreciate her parents’ humble beginnings and the opportunity given to her as a born American.
After her mothers’ passing, it became apparent that Colette wanted to continue her legacy of serving others and making a difference in the world. She found her purpose in life, to "Serve God by serving others". Her ultimate mission is to provide hope and see lives transformed through the Word of God. Colette has the desire to fulfill her God-given purpose and to encourage others to do the same in the Lord.
On January 11, 2015, her life changed after being baptized in Jesus’ name at Triumphant Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Since September 2020, Colette transitioned to Faith Apostolic Ministry where she enjoys being a member of the Pastoral Care Team, Shelter Ministry and Prayer Team.
Since the establishment of JD& L Mission, it has been a step of faith, being led by the Spirit of God to plan each mission. Each event was successful with the help of volunteers who were excited to serve. By Gods wonderful grace, two missions, resulted of souls being saved.
