"VALUED"

2 Corinthians 4:7

“We Now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. *This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves” (NLT)

My Heart is singing: “How great is our God! How great is His name! He’s the greatest one, forever the same! He rolled back the water from the mighty red sea. He said, “I’ll lead you, put your trust in me!”

Oh, praise God! Praise God! It’s so sweet to trust in Jesus and to take Him at His Word. Oh, the precious blood of Jesus that has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel (2 Timothy 1:10). I truly hope you are having a joyful and productive week so far. In spite of the challenges, we face at cross roads, we can rest assure, the joy of the Lord will be our strength. Let’s continue to encourage one another in the Word and win souls for the Kingdom of God!

It’s a privileged to be called chosen and loved by the Lord Jesus Christ. Today, I want to remind you of how important, necessary, loved and VALUED you are. Yes, YOU! You are “VALUED”. It is not of anything we have done, but because God loved us so much, that He gave His only begotten son to die for you and me! Have you ever met someone that you spiritually discern? There is something special about that person. You can’t put your finger on it, but deep in your soul you feel Jesus tugging at your heart. Recently, on a mission trip, one of my sisters and I met a young lady at an amazing restaurant in Negril, Jamaica. On our last day, we got to go out and enjoy the rest of our trip with a good bite to eat. While entering the restaurant, we encountered a young waitress, with a countenance that shinned so bright. Her beautiful soul beamed through her smile. She was welcoming, and her mannerisms during our time there revealed she had an excellent spirit. As the time was going by, I couldn’t help but compliment her by saying, “You have a beautiful soul.” She eventually asked us which Church we attended because she discerned that we were Apostolic believers. With exceeding joy, we all beared witness of the great treasure, the Spirit of God, within us. The Presence of God was so rich among us. We spoke more about the Lord than the delicious food we ate. She opened up about her walk with Christ and the struggles she was facing in her personal life. In spite of what she was going through, the light of God overpowered it all. We realized that day, it wasn’t anything special about us, but it was the light of God shining through our earthen vessel. It was clear, the Holy Spirit that was identified made us feel important, necessary, loved and VALUED. The way, the truth, and the life is walking in us to draw others to the Kingdom of God. It is an authentic love that is greater than anything in this world.

Jesus, who was and who is the glory of the New Covenant, tore the veil to give us access to this great treasure. The Lord wants us to experience His glorious presence. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 states, “But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So, all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image” (NLT). We will never know how “VALUED” we are until we can understand the true meaning of the cross. I truly pray we all receive a radical revelation of the cross, which will allow us to live in the power of God and understand how “VALUED” we are through Christ, who has granted us redemption. How can we get a deeper revelation? Spending time with God, talking with Him, reading His Word and seeking His will.

As true believers, knowing we are VALUED, we have confidence as we approach God in prayer and worship. We have been made near by the blood of the Christ shed on the cross of Calvary.  “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the good news. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God” (2 Cor 4:4). However, we give God thanks that His light can shine, as we go out daily to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19).

The Lord desires for us to walk in our God-given purpose, and make a difference in the Kingdom of God. However, we must live as someone “VALUED” by God. You are VALUED because of what you cost. As one loved by God, you have also been chosen by God for “adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself” (Ephesians 1:5).  We are the earthen vessel, a fragile clay, that God’s excellent power and Spirit can live inside. Jesus promised that it would guide the apostles in all truth and remind them of everything he had taught them. Let us be encouraged today, remembering who we are in Christ Jesus- “VALUED”.

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

(Please take the time to read the scriptures throughout)

God bless you!

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” (NLT).
