Isaiah 61:1
"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound" (KJV)
I greet you today in the Mighty Name of Jesus the Christ. Our hearts shall rejoice because our KING JESUS is ALIVE! He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Let us declare today that, we shall dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of our lives to behold His beauty, to stand in His glorious presence. His Word have we hid in our hearts that we might not sin against Him. His Word is our daily bread. He is our portion, to rest and abide in His arms of sweet deliverance. Yes, our souls says yes. We will lay our burdens down and take His yoke upon us, for it is easy. Hallelujah, we shall dwell in the house of the Lord, in Jesus name!
The word "PRIVILEGED" has been laid on my heart by the Lord to encourage you for the week. Did you know that despite the evil that exists around us and the sinful nature that rages in our soul that you are "PRIVILEGED?" Yes, we have been afforded the opportunity to be given salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. We are "PRIVILEGED" to have access to the throne of grace. It is a "PRIVILEGE", when we become heirs of salvation to have a personal and intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you could pause for one moment and take this word into your spirit.
As I was driving to work and hearing the word, "PRIVILEGED" it brought a deep joy to my soul. It was so overwhelming as I looked around seeing God's creation and His mercies each day. The unmerited favor bestowed upon us that we don't deserve any "PRIVILEGE" from God. The Bible says in Romans 5:8 (NLT), "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." Oh thank you Jesus! He knew us before we were conceived in our mother's womb (Psalm 51:5) and knew our name. He had a plan before the foundation of the world to redeem us from the hands of the enemy through the Blood of Jesus that was shed for you and me.
Last week, we dived into the story of Esther, being "PRIVILEGED" while receiving favor to go before the king to save her people. Her submission and obedience to the Word of God (fasting) caused her territory to be enlarged, but more importantly souls were saved. What a "PRIVILEGE" to be called a child of GOD. Matthew 5:3 (NLT) states, "God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs." I remember reading this particular scripture and misunderstanding the meaning. It was my pastor who while teaching The Beatitudes (Matthew 5) explained that being poor in spirit is not literal a person who is poor. Instead, it is a person who is humble in spirit, exhibits Godly sorrow (repentance) and knows that at all times like a child we will always need the Lord. David understood this concept when he cried out for forgiveness after the prophet Nathan confronted him about his sin. In 2 Samuel 12:13-16 KJV, "David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, the LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth."
David's humility in repentance and fasting acknowledges that he was remorseful about his sin against God. Although "PRIVILEGED" to be called a man after God's own heart, he humbled himself. Although chosen as King, he humbled himself. He tasted and saw that the Lord was good. Saints of God, I pray we will never take His presence, loving mercy, kindness, faithfulness, and His sacrifice for granted.
At times, we get excited about the goodness of God and His favor, but let us be reminded that this "PRIVILEGE" given is not to be kept to ourselves. Instead we ought to tell the world that is broken, lost, hopeless, chained and shackled in sin that experiencing the true love of God it's a PRIVILEGE!!
When we receive in our soul how "PRIVILEGED" we are, we can declare like Isaiah, in Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound."
We are "PRIVILEGED" to be given the great commission before Jesus ascending into Heaven to go and tell nations about the great gospel (death, burial, resurrection) of Jesus Christ. If we submit everything to God in prayer. Let us not keep this plan of salvation to ourselves (ACTS 2:38). It is for all who believe and follow the commands of the Lord. In Peter 3:9 (NLT), Apostle Peter boldly preached on the Day of Pentecost, "The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent."
Saints, if you are reading this encouraging Word from the Lord and your not saved, I beseech you, don't wait!!
You are "PRIVILEGED" to be called a child of God. "PRIVILEGED" to have your souls saved, for Jesus is coming back and we want to be ready, and not caught off guard.
If you are saved, go forth and sing and shout to tell the world the "PRIVILEGE" it is to be called a child of God and to lay every burden at His feet to experience His peace.
A peace this world cannot give. John 14:27 declares, “I am leaving you with a gift, peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Look up child of God, you are "PRIVILEGED." Receive it in Jesus name🙏🏻
