Matthew 4:1
“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and with all that is within me, I bless His Holy name! It is in Him that we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). I greet you today in the most wonderful and beautiful name of Jesus Christ. I love you with the love of the Lord and truly pray that you’ve been having a wonderful week so far.
It’s a great thing to meditate on the Word day and night, for it is what nourishes our soul and keeps us walking in the Spirit. Although we may not be physically near each other, it is a joy to know that we are connected in the Spirit, joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Oh, what a blessing it is to be free from sin and have Christ within! Can I get an Amen?
In this life, we all have a story to tell, a story that can make a positive or negative impact on someone's life. Whether negative or positive, there are lessons to be learned and spiritual maturity that can be gained in Christ Jesus. Martin Luther King had a story, and a dream! Rosa Parks had a story. The greatest apostles, such as Peter and Paul, had stories that turned the world upside down. Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who came to die for you and me, left us a story that will last forever, until eternity!
Now, today—yes, today—someone needs to hear your story of what the Lord has done for you. Your existence on this earth is not in vain! There is a purpose within you that shall not die but must come alive. Therefore, no matter what you are going through or have gone through, tell yourself today that your purpose cannot die, and “My Story” must be told. HALLELUJAH!
Brethren, purpose must come alive in you! Today, I have come to speak to someone’s spirit, and to those dry bones that have been lying dormant. I decree and I declare, with the power of Jesus Christ that is within me, that you must come alive, in Jesus’ name! I speak Jesus over you, your family, and all that is attached to you, in the mighty name of Jesus. You are called to make a difference, whether you see it or not. I don't care what has been spoken over your life since childhood, or what someone has whispered in your ears. Today, you shall arise in Jesus' name, to stand firm on Christ the solid rock, and share your story.
Place your hand on your chest and say, “My Story” must be told.” The Bible tells us in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Your story is your testimony of God's goodness, that shall not die! Your story will introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation. It is a testament of God's mercy and grace in your life. I pray the Lord will give you boldness just like His generals in the Bible.
The early church prayed for boldness during persecution, and God filled them with the Holy Spirit (Acts). Paul the Apostle, in the book of Ephesians, prayed for boldness to proclaim the gospel, and he did so, even while in prison. He went as far as to say, “For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God” (1 Corinthians 15:9). He wasn’t ashamed of his story because he received the revelation that God's glory would be revealed through his story despite his weaknesses and flaws. God knew his story before he was conceived in his mother’s womb, and it was told! Paul’s story continues to be shared today, through the living Word inspired by God.
How can we press into this dimension? It's a dimension that can only be reached through the Blood of Jesus Christ, that was shed for you and me. It is a deeper depth and a higher calling that can only be accessed by dying to self (the flesh) daily. It also requires overcoming trials and tribulations with endurance and the testing of our faith.
We are living in a world where, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will not be able to overcome the evil one, Satan. This is not my opinion; it is God's Word, which will not return to Him void. The enemy desires to steal, kill, and destroy the purpose within each of us, so our story cannot be heard. But God forbid!
Jesus was tempted by the devil, but He used the Word of God to resist everything presented before Him. He knew the mission for which He came, and it had to be accomplished so mankind could be reconciled to Christ. Someone needs to hear your story, so they too can know the God you serve.
My Story:
Today, I can testify to being in a place of the unknown. In May of 2019, I sat with my dear mother in the hospital, not understanding why she was experiencing so much pain. As I laid beside her, I felt the warm presence of the Lord pierce my soul. As tears began to stream down my face, I heard the song "Blessed Assurance." The words of the song gently washed over me: “This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.” Immediately, with great joy, I turned to my mother and said, “Mom, everything is going to be okay.” That encounter anchored my soul that day, enabling me to endure the journey we faced and reassuring me that Jesus was in the room. He was not only in the room but also in the vessel, smiling at the storm.
This is just a glimpse of “My Story,” and I want to share this with you: through every test and trial in life, your story must be told.
“My Story” gave birth to the book “The Anchor Still Holds: Facing the Unknown,” which the Lord led me to write, with the hope that souls will be saved and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ before it’s too late. You might be asking yourself, “Why do I need to share My Story? Who would want to hear it?” But today, I tell you under the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, that someone needs to hear your story.
There may be someone contemplating suicide because they’ve lost hope, but when they hear your story and learn how the Lord kept you, it will give them a reason to live because Jesus lives.
Here is the conclusion of today’s message: Let the Spirit of God dwell within you (Acts 2:38 makes it clear!). Let Jesus be your guide so that you can overcome the cares of this world and fulfill your God-given assignment. As you do this, remember to obey the voice of the Lord and apply kingdom principles daily to withstand the evil one. You can’t go wrong.
Matthew 6:33 declares,
Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Tell your story with boldness so you can make a difference for the Kingdom of God.
